Trip 2: Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka was absolutely incredible, and we're already ready to go back!

We were honored to serve alongside Oaktown Church and partner with the amazing ministries of the De Visser family, Kithu Sevana, and Ape Kedella. One of the highlights of the trip was helping train hundreds of children's ministry leaders from across Sri Lanka to lead Vacation Bible School programs in their local churches.

After the training, we had the joy of seeing everything put into action as VBS began. Hundreds of children participated, learning about God's creation through music, games, lessons, and activities. One especially exciting moment was learning that 36 children attending VBS had no Christian background, meaning this was their first opportunity to hear about God as Creator.

Beyond the ministry, we were deeply encouraged by the work being done throughout Sri Lanka. From sustainable farms that care for vulnerable children to leadership development, church planting, and reconciliation efforts, we witnessed God transforming lives in powerful ways.

Brandon and I were grateful for the opportunity to encourage pastors and ministry leaders as they continue reaching their communities with the Gospel. We left Sri Lanka with full hearts, new friendships, and a renewed passion for God's mission around the world.
